‘I Am Colossus’ is way more straightforward than the thrash metal we grew up with.  At the same time, it does pose its own difficulties for us as players.  It will probably be one of the first songs we attempt to play on tour. Meshuggah’s “Koloss” Artwork Is Truly Amazing.

The 3-D artwork for Meshuggah’s eighth studio album, KOLOSS, is named ‘Gateman’ and was created by Luminokaya.com who spent nine months developing the piece.

“The artwork,” states MESHUGGAH drummer Tomas Haake, “speaks for itself.”

KOLOSS is scheduled for European release on March 23rd and in North America on March 27, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records.

My bad. The album name is actually KOLOSS. Tomas Haake says:

“As always, we try to take our music in a slightly different direction with each album and with Koloss we feel that we really nailed what we were going for. Organic brutality, viscera and groove all crammed into a 54-minute metalicious treat, best avoided by the faint of heart!!”

So get ready! Meshuggah’s new album “Koloss” will be hitting store shelves on March 27th through Nuclear Blast

This is fucking hilarious! If you haven’t heard his other stuff…I suggest visiting his YouTube channel and watching/listening to his other edits of songs. He completely tears the balls out of a Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Meshuggah, Gorgoroth as well as creating an interesting funk styled Lamb of God song.
