DECAPITATED – Pest (Music Video)
NEW SONG! INVERLOCH – Shadows of the Flame
Inverloch, a new death/doom band that is releasing a 3 song EP on April 10th entitled “Dusk | Subside“, has recently put out one of their songs on Pitchfork for your listening pleasure. Shadows of the Flame is no joke, the song is heavy, catchy and has a cool ultra slow part with a blasting snare drum and some beast vocals. I highly recommend giving this song and this band a try. Very good death/doom metal coming from these guys.

Headbang or GTFO Premiere: Rat AIDS – Buttsex Baby Mutant Horror Shit Raisin Balls Aids Doll (Let Me Hold You Sweetie)
Rat AIDS brings you their newest love song appropriately called, “Buttsex Baby Mutant Horror Shit Raisin Balls Aids Doll (Let Me Hold You Sweetie)“. The track will be on their new album, The Honey Store, which will be out soon. The song features a sample of Mr/Mrs. Garrison from South Park talking about evolution and Rat AIDS just comes in and makes it a pure love ballad. Check it out.
Jeff Kendrick (Devildriver) Recently Had His Guitar Stolen
Well damn. Someone just straight up left the venue with Kendrick’s red ESP Horizon that apparently he especially uses for a certain song while playing live. The theft happened in Joliet, IL after the band performed. If you happen to see this man (pictured below, click to enlarge) then get a hold of authority and report the suspect. Get Jeff his guitar back!
CRATOR: A Brand New Death Metal Band featuring members of ORIGIN, KRALLICE, MUCOPUS, and TENTACLES
Crator come out of nowhere and put this work out. Head on over to their Facebook page, give them a “like” then listen in on the 3 song demo they have on their music tab. The tunes are pretty rad. This is a random special treat, you usually don’t get some good new music that is this good early in the morning like this. Not much info has been released. I don’t see anything specific about band members, when an official release will be put out or if they are even a touring act. I just know that this death metal is gooooood.
Check em out, go forth and headbang.
Let’s Start The Day With A Fun Video; TENACIOUS D – To Be The Best

I Don’t Know What The ECHO Awards Are But Seeing RAMMSTEIN Perform With MARILYN MANSON Is Pretty Sweet
It’s like 1997 all up in that bitch. Here is Rammstein playing “The Beautiful People” with Marilyn Manson on the microphone.
GALAKTIKON: Brendon Small’s (Dethklok) Sweet Metal Project Contains Some Impressive Music And Vocals!
It’s obvious that Brendon Small is a genius and ultra talented person. He managed to create a bad ass metal cartoon show with actual music that he himself made, went on tour under the Dethklok name and lived like a rock star with one of the coolest tour buses I’ve ever seen. Now Mr. Small is putting out another big hit, this time with his new project Galaktikon and I must say….bravo. I didn’t know what to expect but I had a feeling it would just sound like Dethklok. Well…no actually, not even close. The song “On My Way” has no death metal vocals or even super fast tremolo picking and blast beats. It features some great riffs, sweet licks and a groovy bass line. Drums are great and the coolest thing about the vocals is there is actual singing going on. It’s like Snakes n Barrels meets Devin Townsend in a weird way. Just listen to the song, you’ll dig it.
SOULFLY Perform “World Scum” Live in San Diego, Bring Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation) On Stage To Belt Out His Part
I’ve already heard this song countless times already but seeing Travis perform that second verse of his brought chills up and down my spine. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this track makes me want new Cattle Decapitation more so than Soulfly. The new Soulfly album is alright but Cattle Decap is just simply amazing. Check out the performance below!
Cover Song Sunday!! MASTODON & CHIMAIRA Cover Some Old School METALLICA
Some of the best Metallica ever being covered by some of the best musicians of the newer era of metal masters. Mastodon covering “Orion” and doing a damn fine job at it. Then we have Chimaira covering “Disposable Heroes“, which was one of my favorite ‘Tallica songs growing up. Horns up, heads moving. Enjoy the covers.
2012: Vote For Change. SUMMER SLAUGHTER TOUR Is Running A Poll For Their Opening Act!
The Summer Slaughter Tour, one of the heaviest touring metal festivals of the year, is letting you decide who opens up the entire thing! The polls have been open for a couple of days now and it doesn’t state when they will close. Each band is definitely worthy of the spot but only one will win! So who will share the stage with Cannibal Corpse, Between the Buried and Me, The Faceless, Exhumed, Goatwhore and Veil of Maya? The nominees are on the picture below.
Visit The Summer Slaughter Tour Facebook page, click on the “VOTING” on the left hand side of the page and install the app. You will then be allowed to properly vote for which band you seem fit to open. As I post this, Fallujah is currently winning but Vildhjarta is right behind them. Will Vildhjarta catch up? Will Enfold Darkness come back and take it all?
CRADLE OF FILTH Show Off Their Artwork For “New” Album
Straight from Skulls n Bones:
Cradle Of Filth has revealed the cover artwork for their new orchestral album, “Midnight In The Labyrinth”, and you can check it out below. This album includes reinvented tracks from CRADLE OF FILTH‘s first four albums and includes choirs, strings and some narration. The release will hit stores on Record Store Day, April 21st, in participating countries and as a strictly limited-edition two-disc set of delectable magic in the rest of the world. Here’s more from the press release:
Taking the most requested tracks from the first four official releases, Cradle Of Filth have fulfilled audience desire by creating an album based on their most popular older tracks, but one that is delivered orchestrally to create a rich, haunting sonic landscape in the vein of soundtrack composers such as JERRY GOLDSMITH, DANNY ELFMAN and HANS ZIMMER.
Ten songs make up this 78 minute meisterwerk (including the addition of a thirteen minute exclusive aural séance on CD1), indulging such COF classics as ‘Funeral In Carpathia’, ‘The Twisted Nails Of Faith’ and ‘Summer Dying Fast’, which has already been showcased on last year’s Evermore Darkly EP to a more than rapturous audience response.
Check out the cover artwork below!
Fretboard Friday – Evan Brewer (The Faceless) & Nick Schendzielos (Cephalic Carnage)
Bow down to the lords of the low end. This week’s focus on Fretboard Friday is Evan Brewer and Nick Schendzielos doing what they do best on their bass guitars, rip that shit up!!! Just watch and learn. I highly recommend watching these even if you don’t play bass, you’ll respect them a little more I’m sure of it.
ASIAN INVASION: Still Not Porn But BABYMETAL Still Exists & Highly Obnoxious
WTF IS THIS ABOUT?!?! I WISH I could understand what is going on, I just can’t. It’s J-Pop, it’s metal, it’s rap, it’s deathcore then it’s techno.
Is this a campaign of some sort? I bet this is some Japanese thing poking fun at all of our dumb attempts at music in recent years, cuz that’s the vibe I get from it. Be warned, this video is retarded.
