Due to being incredibly busy here at my real job, I’ll be rarely able to make a post. Not only do I have this job kicking my ass, I also have Nile to see on Wednesday and take some photos of them and write their review. I’m also currently listening to 3 Inches of Blood, At The Graves and Inverloch for review. So that is what to expect either later this week or next week.
Another development this week is the fact that Headbang or GTFO will be an official DOT COM website this week. The transition is already happening and I’ll finally have a real URL. Hurray!

Surprise to me, Cattle Decapitation’s new song has become available earlier than expected…..it must be my birthday!!! Cattle Decapitation’s new album “Monolith of Inhumanity” will be released on May 8th through Metal Blade Records. Their new single, “A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat“, may have a disgusting ring to it but the music itself is far from gross. Travis’ vocals are once again impressive (How does he do this, album after album?!?!?!) and the music is more constructed towards a good death groove compared to their previous works with over the top guitar work. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still incredibly sinister and evil and heavy as all hell, the riffs seem to be more focused on palm muted tremolo riffs on this particular track. Not much of a solo, just some good ol’ guitar screams. The drum work is maniacal and the gravity blasts return to puncture your skull. “A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat” is an instant classic, it’s got me fucking pumped for this new album.

NEW SONG: OBLIVIONIZED – Cycle Of Deprivation
Oblivionized just surprisingly released a new track and it’s mad as hell. I enjoy the harsh vocals more so than the punky yelling vocals. Riffs are intense, blasts are incredibly fast and overall the song is like driving fast in the opposite lane. Check it out below, you won’t be disappointed. It’s death grind as FUCK.

HUMAN TRANSMUTATION Streaming Entire New EP (Free Download Too!)
Human Transmutation are streaming their new EP over on their bandcamp now, officially showing the world something new: Animecybergrind. Honestly, I don’t give a flying fuck about the Fullmetal Alchemist theme of the music (However, the intro cracks me up). I’m just not familiar with that show, however the music is purely vehement, raw and utterly just down right brutal.
Concert Review – GORNOGRAPHY
Feb 29th, 2012 at The Beaumont Club here in Kansas City, MO. Gornography technically wasn’t the first band to take the stage but they damn sure were the first band to get shit going. Gornography is a technical death metal band who are actually local and personally to me they are easily the top 3 metal acts in the Kansas City, MO area. This was my first time ever seeing the band perform live however, all previous enjoyment of the band has been through audio only.
Gornography kicked off their set with the song “Visions of Gore“, which is one of the first songs I heard from the band. The sound was loud, thick and heavy. From where I was standing, dead center and up front, I could hear the vocals pretty clearly, bass guitar was barely audible and guitars were a little faint. Drums were as clear as day though as Chris Wilson pounded on the kit faster than anyone in the entire Midwest. The lighting wasn’t anything particularly special because it’s an opening technical death grind band, they do not need gimmicks, weird lighting and bullshit like that. Gornography just comes out, fucks your face and leaves. The way I like it.

Wednesday Wreck-ommendation (On Thursday): GoreSkinCoffin – Corpse Filled Caskets
Rotting death metal, furious grind, blasphemous black and murderous doom: GoreSkinCoffin (cool name too) fucking comes out of nowhere and kills your ears. The fury of this album and the intense music are pure metal gold. I’ve never really heard of a band pulling of such amazing death metal riffs, then go into black metal chords and finish off a track faster and harder like a grind king. The rhythm guitars and drums create songs that are catastrophic but controlled. It’s like detonating a nuke in your own backyard. The leads are brilliant, lately I’ve been growing bored with shitty attempts at solo’s but these guys pull it off. Corpse Filled Caskets combines the best of all relevant genres and shoves it into your soul. The album is short yet satisfying. GET IT NOW!!! They are offering it for free! No seriously!
