The Summer Slaughter Tour, one of the heaviest touring metal festivals of the year, is letting you decide who opens up the entire thing! The polls have been open for a couple of days now and it doesn’t state when they will close. Each band is definitely worthy of the spot but only one will win! So who will share the stage with Cannibal Corpse, Between the Buried and Me, The Faceless, Exhumed, Goatwhore and Veil of Maya? The nominees are on the picture below.
Visit The Summer Slaughter Tour Facebook page, click on the “VOTING” on the left hand side of the page and install the app. You will then be allowed to properly vote for which band you seem fit to open. As I post this, Fallujah is currently winning but Vildhjarta is right behind them. Will Vildhjarta catch up? Will Enfold Darkness come back and take it all?
Coprocephalic is one of these brutal guttural death grind bands who want to nothing but destroy your beliefs and rape your soul. The only difference between this band and most other bands is the brief guitar solo’s we get and I like them! Coprocephalic is definitely heavy and you’ll get an odd look from strangers while blasting this from your car in traffic, but you don’t care….you want them to die anyways. Check out their Facebook page and headbang! Out of coffee? BLAST COPROCEPHALIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy their promo below, their sound/production is fucking awesome.
Not only is this new grind, IT IS FREE FOR DOWNLOAD! So go ahead and pick up the two tracks that make up Human Transmutation’s 2 song demo/EP, “Dogs of the Military“.
Two Fullmetal Alchemist freaks from different parts of the US decided one day to put their love of grind and anime into a single, simplistic, barbaric form of cyber brutality. Featuring members of Kindergarten Hazing Ritual and The Eyeboogers.
So press play and be blown away by 2 song in under 1 minute. God damn those vocals are nasty! If you like your music heavy and fast, then Human Transmutation has what you need this morning.
Cannibal Corpse are hitting the road to support their new album “Torture” which will be hitting shelves March 13th this year. Tone is heavy, drums are fucking nuts and vocals kill your ears (in a good way). Aborted’s “Global Flatline” is fucking awesome! Each time I listen to this monster it always makes me energetic, alert and happy. How could such a brutal grind/death metal album make me happy? Let’s see…..let’s start off with the epic amount of endless riffs that is pumped out on this album. Seriously, if you enjoy rhythm guitar, Aborted does not disappoint. I fucking love great riffs and song writing and Global Flatline fucking brings it song after song after song. Just endless riffing, blasting and screaming. Makes me wish I was in a mosh pit each and every time I listen to this record. The intensity of the band is unmatched, I haven’t heard anything close to this in a long fucking time. Drumming is more than just mammoth double bass and blast beats, there are incredible rhythm sections and fills throughout the entire album. Vocals are changed up quite a bit, being ultra guttural and then a higher raspier scream that sounds like no one else.
“Our next video is going to be FUCKED. Talked to the director recently… the only word we can come up with at this point is “FUCKED”. Make of it what you will….”
Soulfly are allowing us to download the new track “World Scum” guest appearing on vocals the Gore King Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation and his part gives me the fucking chills. “World Scum” is a good song that is heavy, fast and full of relentlessness ass kicking. You can get the track HERE but you only have 48 hours to do so. Get it now or miss out entirely.
This new song makes me want to kick down a fucking building.
Crushing slam groove starts this album off immediately and it’s back to what Splattered Entrails does best, make you fucking headbang. This 2012 EP is another blast-tastic death metal album that has even catchier riffs than the previous release. The tempo is slowed down a little bit in the guitar riff section, making the riffs that much heavier sounding. I mean that, these riffs sound like they weight 10,000 pounds. Drums sound great again with the exception of a couple of crash parts, it’s just annoying at times but only when I focus on it. Vocals are deep and will drag you down to hell. It seems to be the smaller guys now-a-days are belching out some impressive vocals anymore. You would think a giant was behind that microphone. The opening roar on the track “Screams of Distant Terror” is a prime example of the monstrous screams Mike can produce.
One thing I like is how crisp and clean Mike O’Hara’s picking hand is. The riffs sound really good and are not sloppy at all. Featuring layers, melodies and tapping – the song writing is a little more complex while still very structured and brutal. Some of the riffs are just dreadful and scary at times. There is a nod to Mike’s previous work, nasty guttural slam with some mean double bass behind it on “Incessant Torture”. Ending the album is another track featuring mean riffs and roars that would knock a bears nuts off and send him running. The 2012 EP from Splattered Entrails is a mean one. O’Hara keeps pumping out quality death metal and I think this EP is just the beginning of what to expect for later this year!
Pros: Groove, slam, death, brutality…this album has it all and delivers it with full force.
“A quick little snippet from Travis’ phone of Josh tracking a song for Cattle Decapitation’s brand new 2012 album. A full strings studio report coming soon!”
America’s reigning kings of brutality, CANNIBAL CORPSE, will unleash their twelfth studio offering this March via Metal Blade Records. Aptly titled Torture, the follow-up to 2009′s Evisceration Plague offers up 12 tracks of maniacally precise, soul-searing death metal. Torture was again produced by Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist, Vincent Locke, viewable HERE.
While Torture marks the latest progression in the band’s sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms “the frenzied attack of Butchered At Birth (1991) or Tomb Of The Mutilated (1992),” infusing the band’s advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive CANNIBAL CORPSE record. Adds bassist Alex Webster on the outcome of the record: “We’re extremely happy with how Torture turned out. Erik Rutan did an amazing job with the production, and the songwriting and performances may be our strongest yet. We can’t wait until our fans get to hear the whole thing!”
Witness the gutting sounds of “Demented Aggression,” the band’s first single, as well as studio footage, at the official CANNIBAL CORPSE landing page, at THIS LOCATION.

The band will get a short break before a near month-long march through Europe on the Full Of Hate 2012 tour with labelmates Behemoth.
Torture
will be released in North America on March 13, 2012.
I absolutely love these videos. Here is Andy Rehfeldt’s latest for Dying Fetus’Grotesque Impalement. I’m making cookies while listening to this, awesome.
Face melting technical death metal returns on Feb 20 as Beneath The Massacre’s new album “Incongruous“ is released via Prosthetic Records. The 2 songs streaming right now: “Symptoms” and “Left Hand” are simply the heaviest things I’ve heard this year. Incredibly mind blowing tech with strong structured song writing and intense speed on all aspects. Guitars, bass and drums create a whirlwind of sound that work together so well. Check out the song “Left Hand” HERE. Symptoms is below:
