I fucking love Cattle Decapitation. The video shows them opening up with a song that does not sound familiar to me at all, so my initial reaction is “OH BOY NEW SONG!!!!”. If I am wrong, continue to flame me in the comments section. Oh the video shows the band performing a new track then “A Body Farm” & what sounds to be another new track!

Holy shit this new Cannibal Corpse track is amazing! I haven’t felt this dizzy and excited for a new Corpse track since KILL. That opening verse riff is unique and Pat n Rob have out done themselves again writing some killer ass riffs. They are a fierce metal combo when it comes to riffs n leads. The track is both brutally fast and maliciously slow at times. All n all it’s a great track. Oh and you can listen to the new track here via Decibel.

“Torture” will be out next week, March 13th on Metal Blade Records.

Album Review! Aborted – Global Flatline

Tone is heavy, drums are fucking nuts and vocals kill your ears (in a good way). Aborted’s “Global Flatline” is fucking awesome! Each time I listen to this monster it always makes me energetic, alert and happy. How could such a brutal grind/death metal album make me happy? Let’s see…..let’s start off with the epic amount of endless riffs that is pumped out on this album. Seriously, if you enjoy rhythm guitar, Aborted does not disappoint. I fucking love great riffs and song writing and Global Flatline fucking brings it song after song after song. Just endless riffing, blasting and screaming. Makes me wish I was in a mosh pit each and every time I listen to this record. The intensity of the band is unmatched, I haven’t heard anything close to this in a long fucking time. Drumming is more than just mammoth double bass and blast beats, there are incredible rhythm sections and fills throughout the entire album. Vocals are changed up quite a bit, being ultra guttural and then a higher raspier scream that sounds like no one else.

New track: Demented Agression

 

America’s reigning kings of brutality, CANNIBAL CORPSE, will unleash their twelfth studio offering this March via Metal Blade Records. Aptly titled Torture, the follow-up to 2009′s Evisceration Plague offers up 12 tracks of maniacally precise, soul-searing death metal. Torture was again produced by Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist, Vincent Locke, viewable HERE.

While Torture marks the latest progression in the band’s sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms “the frenzied attack of Butchered At Birth (1991) or Tomb Of The Mutilated (1992),” infusing the band’s advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive CANNIBAL CORPSE record. Adds bassist Alex Webster on the outcome of the record: “We’re extremely happy with how Torture turned out. Erik Rutan did an amazing job with the production, and the songwriting and performances may be our strongest yet. We can’t wait until our fans get to hear the whole thing!”

One thing I want to improve on is paying attention to my inbox. Starting today, I’ll be posting up the shit I think is kick ass that bands and artists send to me. Sharing it all, cuz that’s the point of this blog. Right? Fuck yeah! So today I get this email from Pedro, a nice gentleman from this radical band known as GROG. I’ll say this: Within this short video the band has officially made me a fan. I went over to their Facebook and liked the page and everything! How awesome is that? Fucking killer. This song is fucking bad ass and I’m now on the prowl to get this album.

Cannibal Corpse will return to slay your ears March 2012. Nothing has been revealed except for the estimated time. Why am I so excited then with no trailer, no sample, no cover art and basically nothing at all? Because I am a HUGE Cannibal Corpse fan and any news from Camp Kill is good news.

So there you have it kids. New Cannibal Corpse coming out sooner than you think!
