HEADBANG OR GTFO!!!!!!!!!

I’m Surprised AARP Isn’t Sponsoring The KISS/MOTLEY CRUE 2012 Tour.

The Kiss and Mötley Crüe Tour! Tell your parents their favorite music from their past is coming back for one more trip through memory lane. Oh I can see it now, a sea of face painted dweebs and fat groupies from 1987 who put on 200 extra pounds yet still dress like they are 21 and 120 lbs. Yikes. Not only is this terrifying in imagination, I’m sure the reality of the situation won’t be much better. Oh and my guess is that the ticket prices will be ungodly, like 80 bucks for GA and probably 40 for those nosebleed seats. Enjoy this event! It may not be as bad as I imagine but….I don’t want to take that chance.

Tour dates after the jump.

For All You Hungry European Grinders Over There: FUCK THE FACTS Will Be Touring There Real Soon Like. Also Nominated For Canadian Award!

So apparently the band that likes to shred your face off and feed it to the local folk are going to tour in Europe! A complete listing of dates is available below.  Guitarist Topon Dos commented on the upcoming run:

“It’s been a couple of years since we’ve last been to Europe, so we’re excited not only to finally get back over there, but to also have the opportunity to play some countries like Finland and Hungary for the first time. We’ve been ripping through a bunch of songs from our new album “Die Miserable” recently, so you can expect to hear a lot of newer tunes. See you soon!”

Also, the band has been nominated for Canada’s prestigious 2012 Juno awards in the Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year category and Sirius XM’s Indies Metal Artist/Group of the Year category.  More info on the Juno awards is available here while voting for the Sirius XM awards can be accessed here. FEAR FACTORY ANNOUNCE AMERICAN TOUR DATES

From their Facebook:

Los Angeles, California: Fear Factory today confirms their first tour dates for 2012. Set to begin in San Antonio on May 1, the tour’s initial dates include stops in Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Denver among others. Joining Fear Factory for the tour is Boston’s Shadows Fall, Kansas City-based The Browning, Riverside, California’s The Devastated, and Legacy of Disorder from New Zealand. The tour will precede the release of Fear Factory’s new album titled The Industrialist.

Fear Factory recently announced the addition of bass player Matt DeVries. The Ohio native previously noted, “I have been asked to join one of my favorite bands. I have been a fan of Fear Factory since 1992 and I could not be more excited to be part of this incredible band.” Guitarist Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell noted, “we are very excited to have Matt playing bass for Fear Factory. We feel he is a great addition to our touring line-up. He has been a friend for a very long time and he is a great musician who will be a perfect instrument in the FF machine.”

With rehearsals for the tour expected to start soon, the members of Fear Factory are finishing details on their forthcoming new album expected for release early summer. Greg Reely has now completed the album’s mix. All that remains is final artwork and packaging. Regarding the new material, Cazares and Bell affirm, “this album perfectly captures the true nature of Fear Factory. The industrial/metal blend is a strong return to our original concept for Fear Factory.”

The Industrialist follows 2010’s critically acclaimed Mechanize. Blabbermouth said, “this is the album fans have been waiting for…a fiery and evolved rebirth of the band that changed metal in the ’90s.” Revolver Magazine called Mechanize, “one of the best albums of the band’s career. Its combination of new-wave melody, rapid-fire aggression, and electronic ambiance sounds as fresh today as Fear Factory did nearly 20 years ago. Call it the soul of their new machine.” Decibel Magazine noted, “Fear Factory are back and beyond intact.”

HOLY FUCK TOUR: Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, Rings of Saturn and Battlecross!!!

The Occupation Domination tour looks to be one of the heaviest tours in the North Americas. With acts like Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Aborted and Decrepit Birth rounding out the top 4, even that itself is heavier than most tours. What is this? “Special performances by Loculus, Embryonic Devourment, Do Not Resuscitate & Face of Ruin“, well I need to check out who these bands are! I don’t know which is heavier, this one or the current Hate Eternal/Goatwhore/Cerebral Bore/Fallujah tour.

SO MUCH DEATH METAL. SO MUCH HEADBANGING TO BE HAD.

Former DECAPITATED Singer COVAN Still Needs Your Support!

From Blabbermouth:

On October 29, 2007, a tour bus accident claimed the life of DECAPITATED drummer Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka, and gravely injured the band’s lead singer, Adrian “Covan” Kowanek, who has yet to make a full recovery.

After he underwent what was deemed to be “successful” neurosurgery, a 36-hour pharmacological coma ended with Covan suffering a cardiac arrest and diffuse cerebral hypoxia (wherein brain impairment occurs due to low blood oxygen levels) because of alleged “medical negligence.” Covan returned home after another six months of treatment in October 2008. Since then, Covan has made vast improvements, but still is unable to communicate and care for himself and requires 24-hour care.

DESIGN THE SKYLINE Have A Headlining Tour

This is happening. There is no god.

I don’t know what their sales numbers are or how many fans they have but I’m surprised Design the Skyline are headlining their own tour. Dumb founded actually but the rest of the line up isn’t all that great either. I’d figure DTS would be the opener for The Browning though. I’m truly curious as to how this is possible. Have they even toured before this? I thought DTS was a BRAND NEW band. Cattle Decapitation don’t even headline their own tours and they have been out longer and are way better. I don’t know who From Atlantis are but I guess they are similar to DTS and The Browning. Tour dates after the jump.
